Dear Roy

    KEY ISSUE FOR PUBLIC - 1ST PRIORITY IMPROVE HEALTH SERVICES

Thank you for your advice below on who to copy in on key issues

The reason why Alex GREENWICH as a new independent member of the NSW Parliament
was copied in on the emails is so that he is aware of the problems for his
constituents for their Health Care as Independents have in the past exert tremendous
"Political Clout" in bringing about Change eg John HATTON and the Wood Royal
Commission

Recently the NSW Premier appointed an ICT Governance Board to accelerate the
"NSW Digital Economy Strategy"
http://www.finance.nsw.gov.au/ict/governance/ictboard

This NSW ICT Governance Board conducted public surveys in Sep 2014 which identified
Health Services as the 1st priority for the NSW Digital Economy
{Att A-What Public want from Digital Economy - 1st Priority improve Health Services}

In addition the Health Portfolio consumes the largest proportion of the NSW Budget

In 2007 the IT Advisory Committee/Board of the National eHealth Transition Authority
[NEHTA] approved 9 different eHealth standards for eHealth Applications each with
different Name & Address formats
{Att B-2007-06-28 NEHTA Document Format Choices Paper v1 0 candidate}

All but one of these eHealth Candidate Standards appear to be owned by overseas
organisations hence there will be a perpetual licensing cost as well as a perpetual
Health Information Exchange costs between the different eHealth standards
{Att C - 2007 NEHTA Candidate Standard Owners}

There have been a number of reports on the problems for "Health Data Interoperability"
particularly with different "Name & Address" formats

A group of senior managers has identified that the 2005 "Name & Address" format
of the NSW Supreme eCourt documents should be used for all electronic communications
particularly eHealth records
Research & Letters

NEXT STEPS

If Mr GREENWICH could spend some time to understand the "NSW Digital Economy
Strategy" he could become a long-term champion of the people like Fred MACK, John
HATTON and Tony WINDSOR at this critical time for the "NSW Government transition
to the Digital Economy"
{Att D-Ted MACK exMP launch "Against the Machines"}

Who would you suggest should be copied in on this Issue ?

Thank you

Yours sincerely

The ebXML Australia Committee ceased to meet after the meeting on 05
Feb 2002 and none of the planned meetings in 2002 took place

However it appears an ebXML Forum was then established

Additional evidence has been included re ICT Advice published 10 Jan 2004 on
"ebXML Forum" about BizDex with Australian Wheat Board [AWB] for Export
Contracts
