A 17:30-18:00 - IDENTIFY POSSIBLE PROJECT MANAGERS FOR H2020 SUBMISSIONS

PMA said there have been nominations for project managers but proposed to confirm
the project managers in the New Year for the submissions received as other
submissions may be proposed:

1	Electronic Committee Information Management [ECIM]

2	Pedal-Power to generate local electricity [ePPM]

3	Volunteer eCredits for Volunteers workers on UNDP Refugee projects

1	ELECTRONIC COMMITTEE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT [ECIM]

The ECIM project was first implemented in the Open Interchange Consortium [OIC]
as part of the Electronic Association Information Management [EAIM] system
sponsored by Stephan SMYDZUK representing the Commonwealth Bank, David
KOHN of the Australian Industrial Development Corporation [AIDC], Tom KOLTAI of
Our World Global Network [OGN] and Stephen GOULD of Halisa-NSW Partnership

The project was based on a joint-venture by Halisa Europe and the UK Standards
Institute [BSI] which had over 450 Committees and produced over 1,000,000 pieces
of committee papers per annum that had to be distributed by post

ECIM was Electronic Committee Information Management (ECIM) is based on
research with the OHA Rugby Football Club (OHRFC), South Sydney Council, South
Sydney Chamber of Commerce (SSCC), the Australian Water Association (AWWA)
and the British Standards Institution (BSI)

ECIM was the basis of the Volunteer eCredits system unanimously agreed by OIC
members at the 1996 AGM to allocate Volunteer eCredits for Committee Participation

The importance of acknowledging project participation was confirmed by the 1991
Report by the University of Arizona into 4,000 IBM projects

The ECIM Committee Information Management process has been implemented for the
EC-BSG H2020 Challenge project

2	PEDAL-POWER TO GENERATE LOCAL ELECTRICITY [ePPM]

SGG said with the escalating costs of Electricity there is considerable community
concern for the on-going costs for local institutions like schools, hospitals, council
buildings, art galleries, museums and RSLs

It may now be appropriate to review the 2008 ePedal Power project [ePPN] proposed
by to Mosman Council in 2009 to generate electricity and help reduce obesity in
schoolchildren was then submitted for a NEIS [New Enterprise Incentive Scheme]
grant in 2010

It appears that this project that records Volunteer time to generate electricity may
comply with the EC-BSG Challenge

PMA requested SGG to provide more details at the next meeting

SGG to provide ePPN overview for questions at next meeting

3	VOLUNTEER ECREDITS FOR REFUGEE CAMPS

GMO proposed that the United Nations Development Program [UNDP] Refugee
Project [UNA] developed for the Zambia Refugees may be a suitable project as it not
only assists Refugees to generate an Income but also provides Volunteers who want
to work on these Refugee Camps with eCredits

These Refugee Camps can also adopt ePedal-Power to generate electricity to pump
and filter wateras well as light homes to enable mobile phones to be re-charged

PMA requested GMO to provide more details at the next meeting

GMO to provide UNDP Refugee project overview for questions at next meeting

B 18:00-18:15 - REVIEW OVERSEAS CRYPTOCURRENCY RESEARCH

c 2018/12/08 Cryptocurrency's terrible 2018

b 2018/12/08 Why South Korea will play a Major Role in Cryptocurrency Adoption

a 2018/12/07 Cryptocurrency Accepted: Venezuela Will Sell Oil for Petro

The Meeting discussed how in Feb 2018 Venezuela issued in the Petro as a
Cryptocurrency backed by the country's considerable oil-reserves"

However this article 10-months later states that the Government was forced to issue
a Crytpocurrency to try to bypass the US sanctions against Venezuela

"In 2019 we are scheduled to sell crude oil for Petro and in this way continue to
free us from a currency that the elite of Washington uses."

This was also a reason that the European Countries agreed 30-years ago to have a
common currency called "The Euro" which was issued in 1999 to stop currency
speculators ruining Countries economic strategies

C 18:10-18:25 - UPDATE ON "BLOCKCHAIN" INITIATIVES

The Meeting reviewed these "Blockchain" articles

c 2018/12/01 Hong Kong "Blockchain" Week Mar 04-08 2019

The Meeting agreed it would be very useful if someone could attend this "Blockchain"
conference in Hong Kong as there were 35 key speakers discussing a wide range of
"Blockchain" topics

b 2018/11/13 Energy Trading Regulation - Blockchain update

The meeting agreed that this article appears to indicate that the main market for
Blockchain applications appears to be in the Financial markets

"Recently , Chris Giancarlo, the chair of the CFTC (The U.S Commodity Futures Trading
Commission (CFTC) is an independent agency of the US government created in 1974, that
regulates futures and option) made further comments on the use of DLT and blockchain
to aid supervision of the financial markets.

The comments are reported on in this article on the Coin Telegraph web site.

In the crypto currency world, ESMA's Securities and Markets Stakeholders Group has
recommended in this report that a wider range of tokens should be regulated under
MiFID II (The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive).

The report is summarised in this article on the Coindesk web site.

At the same time, this article on FT.com reports that in some cases, the sale of crypto
derivatives may be banned in the UK.

In the physical commodities world, initiatives also continue to move forward.

For example, this article on the Reuters web site reports that the London Bullion
Market Association (LBMA) has moved forward with plans to track the movement of gold.

This article on the Euromoney web site discusses "Komgo", a blockchain based trade
finance platform for commodities.

It examines how such platforms can be used to fight fraud in the physical commodities
markets.

In the energy world, the use of blockchain for peer-to-peer trading networks,
particularly at the distribution network level, encompassing the "prosumer",
continues.

This article on the Modern Diplomacy web site discusses some of the regulatory hurdles
and changes that will be required for the vision to become reality.

a 2017/08/30 Blockchain: Invisible Technology that is changing the World

This 2017 Article is worth reviewing as it indicates that there are limitless
"Blockchain" applications

SGG to provide regular updates on any articles

D 18:25-18:30 - ANY OTHER BUSINESS

SGG reported that during the process of distributing the email "25 Nov 2018
Councillor - why emailed on re-location of Australian Embassy" further emails had
been distributed about the legislation for Electric Cars to fully replace Petrol driven
cars by 2040 and the need for Councils to provide Electric Charging points and
Council parking zones

b 14 Dec 2018 additional reply still does not show why move beneficial to Australia

a 04 Dec 2018 Please explain why Embassy move is beneficial to Australia
