PURPOSE

The purpose of the ELECTRONIC ASSOCIATION INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (EAIM) system is to provide an electronic information management system for any organisation that is involved with committees, members and/or organising functions.

It is intended to enable small and medium size organisations as well as large organisations to operate far more effectively using Electronic Information Technologies (EIT).

The project is perceived as an opportunity for the project participants to accrue intellectual property royalties from participating in the specification, development, marketing, implementation, support and continued enhancement of the product.

OBJECIVES

EAIM is viewed as the cornerstone for Associations, Societies, Institutes and Foundations to become an Information Resource for members and contacts. The current objectives of EAIM are:

  1. To enable Associations, Societies, Institutes and Foundations (ASIF) to distribute and receive information by post, fax, e-mail and the Internet to members and potential members

  2. To encourage ASIFs to appreciate the benefits of Electronic Information Interchange (EII) by automatically compiling statistics and historical comparisons

  3. To enable Associations, Societies and Institutes to provide enhanced services for members without increasing the administration and management overheads

  4. To develop a product and expertise for export revenue

  5. To provide a long term revenue stream for the participants in the project
