LOCAL-E 'NEXT STEPS' PROGRAM
Lgov NSW - is representing the Local Government Association and the Shires Association of 
NSW. 
We invite appropriately qualified, relevantly experienced organisations to tender for the various 
components of the Local-e 'Next Steps' program which is aimed at developing, implementing and 
supporting additional online services for country councils of NSW. 
You will be tendering for:
A	e-Services
	Aimed at providing advanced online council services for the community, it will compliment 
	the existing portfolio of Local-e website services
B	e-Mapping
	Aimed at providing an interactive graphical facility for the community to inquire and 
	transact with Councils to locate and use local services/facilities
C	e-Procurement
	Aimed at providing seamless systems for councils to engage in cost effective, rapid, self-
	documenting e-procurement activities
D	e-Security
	Aimed at providing a secure environment for the operation of the websites and their 
	services
E	Hosting
	Aimed at providing a stable and economical Architectural Framework to support the operation of 
	the council web services. 
Supported by the Commonwealth Government's 'Networking the Nation' program, the 
development and implementation phase of this program will continue to December 2004. 
The Lgov NSW Local-e project has been in operation for 16 months and is now considered as the 
most successful program of its kind. 
It has already developed 90 customised websites for NSW councils. 
The unique feature of these websites is that they are designed as the foundation for advanced 
integrated services to be incorporated in the 'Next Steps' Online Services Deliveries.

sent via e-mail.
