A 17:30-18:00 - IDENTIFY POSSIBLE RESOURCES FOR H2020 SUBMISSIONS

PMA said a key project for our H2020 submission is "Electronic Committee
Information Management [ECIM]" process which is worthy of more detailed
review because it provides a regular method for promoting sponsors On-line

SGG explained how many current Project Management methodologies including
Agile, Scrum, Kanban, PRINCE2 and PMBoK [Project Management Book of
Knowledge] all focus on effective communications between Project Teams to assist
the Team meet project objectives and timetables

PMBoK has a competency called "BSBPMG507A Manage Project Communications"
which is included in 10 other Qualification Diplomas

This is where ECIM can provide a great advantage for any Event management or
Project Management application particularly as there can be a link to sponsors web-
pages on every page of minutes

Hence perhaps Universities and training colleges should be approached as
implementation sites for ECIM as partners for the submission to the EC-BSG

These Universities/Colleges can be offered several benefits of participating in the
EC-BSG project including:

1	a share of the Prize money

2	a way of promoting course sponsors On-line with links to web-sites

3	latest "Relationship Database" and "Blockchain" skills for the students

4	an Intellectual Property Application that can be licensed by Uni/College

5	long term Intellectual Property Royalties [IPRs] for College & Students

PMA proposed SGG establish sub-committee to seek project partners

Current Proposed Projects for Submission to EC-BSG H2020

1	Electronic Committee Information Management [ECIM]

2	Pedal-Power to generate local electricity [ePPM]

3	Volunteer eCredits for Volunteers workers on UNDP Refugee projects

1	ELECTRONIC COMMITTEE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT [ECIM]

The ECIM project was first implemented in the Open Interchange Consortium [OIC]
as part of the Electronic Association Information Management [EAIM] system
sponsored by Stephan SMYDZUK representing the Commonwealth Bank, David
KOHN of the Australian Industrial Development Corporation [AIDC], Tom KOLTAI of
Our World Global Network [OGN] and Stephen GOULD of Halisa-NSW Partnership

The project was based on a joint-venture by Halisa Europe and the UK Standards
Institute [BSI] which had over 450 Committees and produced over 1,000,000 pieces
of committee papers per annum that had to be distributed by post

ECIM was Electronic Committee Information Management (ECIM) is based on
research with the OHA Rugby Football Club (OHRFC), South Sydney Council, South
Sydney Chamber of Commerce (SSCC), the Australian Water Association (AWWA)
and the British Standards Institution (BSI)

ECIM was the basis of the Volunteer eCredits system unanimously agreed by OIC
members at the 1996 AGM to allocate Volunteer eCredits for Committee Participation

The importance of acknowledging project participation was confirmed by the 1991
Report by the University of Arizona into 4,000 IBM projects

The ECIM Committee Information Management process has been implemented for the
EC-BSG H2020 Challenge project

2	PEDAL-POWER TO GENERATE LOCAL ELECTRICITY [ePPM]

SGG said with the escalating costs of Electricity there is considerable community
concern for the on-going costs for local institutions like schools, hospitals, council
buildings, art galleries, museums and RSLs

It may now be appropriate to review the 2008 ePedal Power project [ePPN] proposed
by to Mosman Council in 2009 to generate electricity and help reduce obesity in
schoolchildren was then submitted for a NEIS [New Enterprise Incentive Scheme]
grant in 2010

It appears that this project that records Volunteer time to generate electricity may
comply with the EC-BSG Challenge

PMA requested SGG to provide more details at the next meeting

SGG to provide ePPN overview for questions at next meeting

3	VOLUNTEER ECREDITS FOR REFUGEE CAMPS

GMO proposed that the United Nations Development Program [UNDP] Refugee
Project [UNA] developed for the Zambia Refugees may be a suitable project as it not
only assists Refugees to generate an Income but also provides Volunteers who want
to work on these Refugee Camps with eCredits

These Refugee Camps can also adopt ePedal-Power to generate electricity to pump
and filter wateras well as light homes to enable mobile phones to be re-charged

PMA requested GMO to provide more details at the next meeting

GMO to provide UNDP Refugee project overview for questions at next meeting

B 18:00-18:15 - REVIEW OVERSEAS CRYPTOCURRENCY RESEARCH

e 2019/01/04 Bitcoin ATM producer move Switzerland due to Regulatory difficulties
d 2019/01/02 DMM Japan withdraws from Cryptocurrency mining
c 2018/12/27 PwC predicting big-banks will drive crypto adoption
b 2018/12/05 Look at the top 70 alternative Cryptocurrency coins projects
a 2018/12/03 The Cryptocurrency markets are hungry for something real

The members reviewed each of the Cryptocurrency web-links and agreed the
following

a 2018/12/03 The Cryptocurrency markets are hungry for something real

This article initially states of the fact that few of the cryptocurrencies are back by
anything substantial and then focuses on a new "Restaurant Rewards" Cryptocurrency called "Liven"

The article quotes "dappradar is showing only 55,000 active users in the last 24 hours for all
Ethereum, EOS and Tron dapps combined. And if you remove the games and gambling apps from
those numbers you lose at least 95% of that"

"One of the main problems for cryptocurrencies is gaining real, actual users and creating something
that people want to use, and Liven has succeeded wildly on that front"

b 2018/12/05 Look at the top 70 alternative Cryptocurrency coins projects

This article discusses the volatility of the top 70 Cryptocurrencies and then reviews
the top 70 Cryptocurrency coins - the meeting was sceptical about the value and
benefits of all these different Cryptocurrencies

c 2018/12/27 PwC predicting big-banks will drive crypto adoption

"The world's second largest accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers [PwC],
believes a new wave of institutional investment will drive cryptocurrency adoption
over the next 12 months.

In 2019, KwC's China and Hong Kong Fintech and Crypto Leader, says he will be
watching the rise of Security Tokens and Stable Coins closely.

"Stable coins in particular allow, for example, crypto traders to stay in the crypto
space but with an asset that is definitely less volatile and also can be used on a day-
to-day basis for people who want to use crypto without the volatility that we've seen
in recent months.

"The other one is security tokens which I expect a lot in 2019, which are basically
security tokens that are backed by real-life assets, for example, real estate."

The meeting agreed that these new terms "Stable Coins" and "Security Tokens" need
further research

d 2019/01/02 DMM Japan withdraws from Cryptocurrency mining

"Japanese e-commerce giant DMM.com is reportedly in the process of winding down
its cryptocurrency mining business, less than a year after it set up the operation.

A news report from Nikkei on Dec. 30 said DMM made the decision to withdraw from
mining in September 2018 as the overall cryptocurrency market slump led to
deteriorating profitability for the business.

The report added that the withdrawal process, including the sale of its mining
machines, could continue until the first half of 2019.

Founded in 1999, DMM is one of the largest e-commerce sites in Japan. It launched
a cryptocurrency exchange business, dubbed DMM Bitcoin, in January 2018, which
is one of 16 licensed trading platforms in Japan"

The meeting thought it strange that a Japanese eCommerce giant which is one of 16
licensed cryptocurrency exchange businesses in Japan would establish a
cryptocurrency mining business and then close it down within 12-months

e 2019/01/04 Bitcoin ATM producer move Switzerland due to Regulatory difficulties

Bitcoin (BTC) automated teller machine (ATM) manufacturer Lamassu has moved
to Switzerlanddue to regulatory difficulties in other countries, according to a blog
post published Jan. 1.

Lamassu - now called Lamassu Industries AG - has moved to the Swiss canton of
Lucerne, because the firm wants "to be in a place where rules are well defined and
regulators are pro-innovation."

Lamassu revealed in the post that its applications to open an account were rejected
by 15 banksbecause it produces terminals for Bitcoin, while not taking part in trading
or storing digital currencies.

Additionally, the company was purportedly rejected by payment processor Stripe for
having the word Bitcoin on their site.

Switzerland is known for its crypto-friendly approach and blockchain development
hub "Crypto Valley" in the city of Zug.

In December, Zug was ranked the fastest-growing tech community in Europe"

The meeting agreed to watch what is happening in Switzerland as it is one of the few
countries in Europe that still has its own currency the 'Swiss Franc' "which is also
accepted in Liechtenstein and it is also legal tender in the Italian exclave
Campione d'Italia.

The Swiss National Bank issues banknotes and the federal mint Swissmint
issues coins"

C 18:10-18:25 - UPDATE ON "BLOCKCHAIN" INITIATIVES

The Meeting reviewed these "Blockchain" articles

Extracts from all these International "Blockchain" Initiatives can be reviewed here

f 2019/01/05 Future of "Blockchain" in Australia - 5 predictions for 2019

e 2019/01/04 Chilean Treasury "Blockchain" platform for Public Payments

d 2019/01/03 Thai Gov Agency develops "Blockchain" Tech for Election eVoting

Thailand, South Korea, Japan city Tsukuba and US State West Virginia are
cited as rolling out "Blockchain"-based eVoting applications for the elimination
of election fraud although this is contested by Richard STALLMAN

c 2019/01/02 New York forms "Blockchain" study task force

b 2018/12/12 Inaugural Meeting of Hyperledger provides impressive new members

a 2018/05/15 Veridium uses IBM Blockchain to create Soc & Env Impact Tokens

IBM announce "Veridium is to use IBM Blockchain Technology to transform
the carbon credit market with the goal of making it easier for companies to
	offset their environmental footprints

IBM's "Blockchain" platform "enables clients and developers to engage in
Social and Environmental Impact Tokens that can be redeemed and traded
on the Stellar network with less friction"

IBM is an early member of Hyperledger (along with Microsoft, SAP and
Accenture)

The meeting agreed to monitor what is happening with "Hyperledger" particularly as
IBM, Microsoft and SAP were foundation members of the 2003 BizDex/GovDex
Consortium which developed the Australian Wheat Board [AWB] Grain export system
with a Au$ 200,000 Australian Government Grant via Standards Australia
