A REVIEW PROPOSED PRESENTATION TO COUNCILS RE BLOCKCHAIN ISSUES

This is a proposed presentation to Councils about helping their communities to
understand "Blockchain" issues and the relevance to all local Communities

14:00 Background Open Interchange Consortium [OIC] & Sustainability Action Network [SAN]
including 2001 Joint -Venture with Commonwealth Government with NSW Local Councils

14:05 Summary 2018 UNHCR Zambia Project

14:10 Summary 2018 "Blockchains for Social Good [BSG]" Challenge

14:15 Summary 2019 CSIRO-Data61/ACS report "Blockchain 2030- A Look at the future of
Blockchain in Australia" - this PDF document is still being converted to an Online Version

A key statement in this report is on P54 which is the basis of the proposal for
the "Inner West Blockchain Hub" is

"Community leaders and end users would benefit from basic 'Blockchain literacy', or
even a broader understanding of what the technology is and how it works.

Growing the ICT talent pool in Australia may involve a combination of strategies
focused on education and training (e.g. developing new course offerings that assist
existing workers transition to the emerging Blockchain industry) and migration
policies (e.g. incentives designed to attract global talent)"

14:20 Proposed "Refugee Sanitation Biogas Digester" Prototype for BSG Challenge

14:25 Submission to Inner West Council to participate in Biogas Prototype project including
1	Participating in Submission to BSG for Euro 1,000,000 (Au$ 1.6 M) prize
2	Developing Biogas implementation processes for Licence to other organisations
3	Developing "On-line Blockchain" Education Program for Licence

14:35 Questions

14:45 Finish

GMO said a key issue is that in 2014 the Italian Forum was sold by the Council to CO.AS.IT

GMO then explain how she once worked at CO.AS.IT and how it was established over
50 years ago to assist Italian migrants -

"Co.As.It. was established in 1968 to fulfil two distinct aims: to promote the
Italian language and culture in NSW and to assist the growing number of migrants
arriving from Italy.

Since this time Co.As.It. has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community.

Being true to our initial objectives, we have continued to expand services in the
areas of education and community services.

In the community services area, Co.As.It. provides aged care services and a wide
range of community services, from youth and family to mental health, to problem
gambling to many more"

PMA suggest Co.As.It may be interested in understanding "Blockchain" issues and
the proposed "On-Line Introduction to Blockchain Issues" may be of interest

B 18:00-18:15 - REVIEW "BIOGAS SUB-COMMITTEE" REPORTS

The Meeting reviewed these "Biogas Sub-Committee" reports

PMA complemented Nicola on the timeliness and quality of his reports

C 18:10-18:25 - UPDATE ON "BLOCKCHAIN" INITIATIVES

PMA asked SGG how long it would take to have the "Blockchain 2030" report On-line

SGG said the On-line Contents had been created and the References and Appendices would
be On-line by On-line by Tue 02 Jul 2019

At the next meeting he would be able to provide an estimate of when the other sections would be On-line

D 18:25-18:30 - ANY OTHER BUSINESS

The progress with the "Blockchain Biogas project" with the Inner West Council would be
reported at the next meeting
