15:06 Tue 17 Apr 2007 REF:JISACAC1 Y/R: T 2007/04/17 13:00 - 14:12 TO: Richard MARTYR cc Dan MOORE/Mark GREEN Director Subbie Clubs for feedback INFRASPORT JSIS/KSAS-Au Network Richard - further to our telephone discussion I confirm my understanding of the complementary objectives between the Infrasport Club System and the Junior Sports Information System [JSIS]/Kids Safe-at-Sport Network [KSAS-Au]. A New Systems for new Legislation and Volunteer Processes B How Infrasport & JSIS/KSAS-Au complementary C AS4590 eCommerce Standard for Registration & Event From D Proposed Next Steps A NEW SYSTEM FOR LEGISLATION & VOLUNTEER PROCESSES JSIS & KSAS-Au were developed to enable Local Sports Clubs and Business Communities to derive benefits from: 1 Federal and State Electronic Transaction Acts 2 Volunteer Management Schemes An example is the 2004 partnership between Rio Tinto WA Future Fund and WA Department of Sport and Recreation [DSR] to develop the Rio Tinto Volunteer Management Scheme [RTVMS] The RTVMS records the Volunteer hours as Assets for the Peak Body and the State Body or Council not for the Sport Club or Volunteers. The CZAG Volunteer Information Management Systems [VIMS] records the Volunteer time as Assets for the Sports Club and the Volunteer as part of the Local Information Economy B HOW INFRASPORT & JSIS/KSAS-AU COMPLEMENTARY The Infrasport Club System has been designed to assist Clubs with their records administration and provide On-line registration, payment and merchandising facilities. All of the weekly Competition information is provided by Interfuse via Interfuse Sport The JSIS system has been designed to enable every local business with a web-site to sponsor a local Junior sports team and for the Local business to appear on multiple web-pages. The concept behind the JSIS System is that Junior Team would be responsible for the update of the weekly result and player details and would receive Team Responsibility Credits as per the Electronic Transaction Acts. This is part of the "Leadership Development and Responsibility Practice" for the Junior players to learn how to update Club and Internet records There would be up-to 10 web pages for each Junior Sports team with 4 sponsors per web page C AS4590 ECOMMERCE STANDARD FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES Over the past 5 years there has been considerable debate in the IT Community over the Australian eCommerce Standard AS4590. This eCommerce Standard had two different address formats as part of the standard that caused major problems for eCommerce sites like Sydney Port. You may want to contact Ben ANSON President of Barkers Olds Boys about the report he wrote to the Treasury in 2003 as the Consultant to Sydney Port Last year we finally managed to resolve the problem and confirm only one eCommerce Address Standard for AS4590 You may want to review this format as this is the format that is used for SMEs that wish to sponsors Local Junior Team sites This is the address format that we now use in all our On-line eCommerce Registrations and Booking forms D NEXT STEPS Richard - as Junior Rugby Clubs will really be able to benefit from the Local Information Economy Sponsorship perhaps we could discuss this further next week. Which is a convenient day to speak with you next week ?
