Provision of Seperator for the Australian Centre for Energy and Process Training Project.
1 SPECIFICATION FOR GOODS AND / OR SERVICES
1.1 BACKGROUND
Under the Department of Education and Training Cluster Challenger TAFE seeks the supply of a 
Separator as detailed in GHD Technical Enquiry Requisition CTAFE-DM-25-011 Rev E01. 
1.1.1 PROJECT OVERVIEW 
The Process Plant Facilities are being designed by GHD to provide appropriate training for
operations and maintenance functions within the Chemical and Processing Industries in general, 
and Oil and Gas in particular.
The design approach is based on an equipment layout area of approximately 40m x 26m with a 
central North South pipe rack.
The West side will accommodate the training facility equipment, which is being installed based
on an optimum layout for process and piping requirements. 
The East side is divided into a number of discrete bays serviced by utilities and power, which
will be available for industry use.
The Process Systems currently included in Stage 1 of the project are:
a	Gas/Oil/Water Separation, 
b	Produced Water Treatment, 
c	Compressed Air, 
d	Nitrogen Generation, 
e	Pipeline Pigging Operations, and 
f	Chemical Injection.
The objective of the facility is to provide a sound understanding and knowledge of key processes
within the process industries through hands on experience for trainee process operators and 
technicians. 
The design should therefore incorporate features typical of standard industrial equipment, and 
comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and engineering standards. 
The proposed equipment has been selected with the objective of meeting as many as possible of
the competency modules associated with the Training Packages in Process Plant Technology.  
At the same time, equipment items have been integrated where practical to maximise the "feel" 
of typical process plant.  
Ideally, the environment should be similar to that expected on an offshore processing facility 
with the proviso that up to six students can safely work around each item of equipment.
The Facility is primarily intended for Vocational Education Training, Research and Development,
but shall also be sufficiently flexible to permit the temporary installation of third party 
equipment for the purpose of demonstration and/or training.
The Separator shall be supplied in accordance with GHD Technical Enquiry Requisition 
CTAFE-DM-25-011 Rev E01 and all documents referenced therein.
1.2 SPECIFICATION 
The Separator shall be supplied in accordance with GHD Technical Enquiry Requisition 
CTAFE-DM-25-011 Rev E01 and all documents referenced therein.
The Goods shall meet the following minimum specification as detailed in the attached appendices:
A	GHD Technical Enquiry Requisition Document No. CTAFE-DM-25-011.
B	GHD Separator Data Sheet Document No. CTAFE-DM-21-025.
C	GHD Specification for Painting and Protective Coatings Document No. CTAFE-DM-20-004.
2.2.1	ALTERNATIVE SPECIFICATION
Under the Department of Education and Training Cluster Challenger TAFE seeks the supply of
Level Instruments as detailed in GHD Technical Enquiry Requisition CTAFE-DJ-49-011 Rev E01 or 
an industry equivalent may be considered.
