Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation will be greatly bolstered by the tremendous advantage that the Internet provides with Electronic Contracts. As Australian Customs struggles with its new eCommerce System, while the NSW Government moves towards a Judicial Inquiry into the Cross-City Tunnel Payment Scandal at the same time that the Federal Government braces for the UN Report on Australian Wheat sales to Iraq, it is timely to consider how Standard Electronic Contracts could reduce the complexity for effective management and monitoring of Public Contracts. The Seminar on Thu 24 Nov 2005 will review whether the OTMG Tender Information Management Service [TIMS] may be a suitable platform for electronic Federal, State and Local Government Contracts which may be incorporated as part of Free Trade Agreements eg Aus-USA FTA.
