KSAS-Au & DEVELOPING LOCAL CIT SKILLS

Hi Peter - this email is to enquire if Centrelink may be prepared to
support the Kids Safe-at-Sport [KSAS] project

A	Details of Kids Safe-at-Sport project
B	Developing Local CIT Skills to support Local Businesses
C	Centrelink funding specific On-line Skills program
D	Next Steps

A	DETAILS OF KIDS SAFE-AT-SPORT PROGRAM

In summary to project is to provide Local Junior Sports team with
an eAdministration system based on the Internet and PC packages.

A major objective of the KSAS project is to enable Junior Sports
Clubs to comply with their State Child Protection Legislation

The project is a web-based application to facilitate web page
sponsorship of the Sports Club by Local Businesses.

This Sponsorship will pay for the on-going local maintenance
and support costs for the Junior Sports Clubs

The new business from the Web-page Sponsorship should be
able to pay for the Local Businesses support and enhancements
costs

Details of the project can be reviewed in the communications
with Stephen HOWARD Secretary NSW Office of Liquor, Gaming
and Racing for CDSE funding

As you may be aware we have developed a Spreadsheet prototype
for Community Junior Sports Clubs based on the complex address
option of AS4590

B	DEVELOPING LOCAL CIT SUPPORT SKILLS

A key part of the project is enabling Local Businesses to support
the Local Sport teams via the Local Business web-sites

The project has identified a need for developing Local Skill levels to
support Local Business web-sites.

The proposed local support people could be the local youth
or people prepared to gain CIT Business skills that will support
the Local Businesses and Sport Teams

Details of how the support people would be paid are in the
email to the Stephen HOWARD Secretary NSW OLGR

C	CENTRELINK FUNDING ON-LINE SKILLS PROGRAM

We have identified the following local training is required to enable
Local Businesses to support the local Sporting Community by
sponsoring Local team web-pages.

Training is required in either MS products or Open Source
products:

	1	Web-page design
	2	Pagemaker
	3	Wordprocessing
	4	Spreadsheet
	5	Database
6	Overview of Australian eCommerce Standard AS4590
	7	email content for forms
8	Long term Business support contracts

We would like to develop a 10 week 2 hr On-line Training program
so that we can provide a consistent training process.

Would Centrelink be prepared to be involved with this project and
fund the development of the 10 week 2 hr On-line Training Program ?

D	NEXT STEPS

I would appreciate it if you could forward this to the appropriate
department in Centrelink for their consideration

Your comments are most welcome

We look forward to working with Centrelink to develop uniform
AS4590 applications

Thank you

Regards
