As we have lost the two opening games 0-3 and 0-8, Matt & I discussed how we
need to take positive action quickly so that the players could get the skills
and confidence during the school holidays to score more goals.

Here are two books that you may want to take out of Pittwater Library to discuss
with your player and two Internet sites provided by Sue & Danny POPE.

Matt is reviewing the books and may include a number of the Activities in
Practice - the names of these drills are included so you know what your
player is talking about if he/she enjoys the Activity.

A	The Baffled Parents Guide to Great Soccer Drills

B	The Guinness Book of Skilful Soccer - more suited for 11 and above

C	Two Internet Sites for Coaching

A THE BAFFLED PARENTS GUIDE TO GREAT SOCCER DRILLS

This book has 125 different games/activities in 4 sections

a	Warm-up Activities

d	Target Games & Activities

The games/activities that appear to be suitable for the Pittwater Crows are:

b	BODY AWARENESS GAMES & ACTIVITIES

16	Body Part Dribbling
18	Body Awareness in Pairs
19 Zen Dribbling
26	Human Obstacle Course
27	Off to the Zoo
29	Sitting Soles
33	Lightning Fast
33 Jiggle, Jangle, Juggle
46	Gates
47	Math Dribbling

c	MAZE GAMES & ACTIVITIES

38	Knock'em Over
39	Pick'em Up
40	Follow the Leader
41	Like Magnets
42	The Glob
43	Find the Coach
44	Cross Over
45	Everybody's It

d	TARGET GAMES & ACTIVITIES

88 Open & Closed gates

89 Balls Galore

95 Edge of the World

99	Gladiator Ball

B	THE GUINNESS BOOK OF SKILFUL SOCCER

This is more suitable for older players - however it has some very good
ideas on how a playercan practice passing, trapping and shooting against
a wall

C	INTERNET SITES

Sue and Danny POPE have also provide a couple of web-links that also
provide extensive soccer tips.

As yet have not had time to review in detail.

"Footy for Kids" looks like it could be very helpful.

1	How to Coach U6 to U8

2	Footy for Kids - this looks very good
