Response from our Finance Department re DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION LEVIES


1   Long Service Levies from DA Applications

	Long Service Levies are collected on behalf of the State Government. 

	We are an agent collecting the LSL levies on behalf of the Long 
	Service Levy Corporation so the fees are not retained by the Council.
 
2   Security Deposits

	Security Deposits are held in the Council's Trust Accounts. 

	They appear in note xx of the financial statement.

3   S94 Contributions

	Unspent S94 Contributions are restricted and invested with the normal 
	term investments (such as term deposits). 

	They appear in note xx of the financial statement.
