Key Issues of CSIRO-Data61/ACS "Blockchains 2030 Report"

A	Cryptocurrencies and crypto-assets discussed at the Dec 2018 G20 meeting
B	Australia chairing ISO Standards committee on Blockchains standards
C	HSF, Data61 & IBM form Australian National Blockchain [ANB]

a CRYPTOCURRENCIES& CRYPTO-ASSETS DISCUSSED AT DEC 2018 G20 MEET

According to p18 of the document, the topic of Cryptocurrencies and crypto-assets was
discussed at the 2018 G20 meeting

 "P18
Countries are trialling different regulatory approaches to crypto-assets and blockchain
in a search for a balanced solution between innovation support and consumer and
business protection, as indicated at a discussion on crypto-assets at the at the G20
Leaders' Summit in Buenos Aires in Nov/Dec 2018 (This meeting was attended by the
Australian Prime Minister Scott MORRISON)"

b AUSTRALIA CHAIRING ISO COMMITTEE ON BLOCKCHAINS STANDARDS

And "Australia is Chairing the ISO Group developing standards for blockchains and other
distributed ledgers"

P53
Australia's blockchain industry has a competitive advantage in a number of areas in having:

E	Global leadership in blockchain governance.

Australia is chairing the International Standards Organisation group developing
standards for blockchains and other distributed ledgers 165

F	Relatively strong institutional adoption and collaboration, either between companies or
	public-private sector partnerships.

For instance, Australian banks are working with distributed ledger start-up Ripple 166
the Australian Government has partnered with IBM to develop blockchain
solutions the Queensland Government is working with TravelbyBit to open the
market for digital currency tourism,167

c	HSF, DATA61 & IBM FORM "AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL BLOCKCHAIN [ANB]"

The meeting review some of the 185 References and in particular Reference 183
Herbert Smiths Freehills[ HSF], Data61 and IBM create consortium to deliver smart legal
contracts on blockchain to Australian businesses.

The meeting consider it was in the Public Interest to raise awareness of this "Australian
National Blockchain [ANB]" and include the other references in the CSIRO-Data61/ACS
report On-line for Project Partners

Please find attached an initial summary of the key issues in the CSIRO-ACS "Blockchain
2030 - A Look at the Future of Blockchain in Australia," for your consideration

PMA said we have established a sub-committee to review the very important CSIRO-Data61/ACS
Report

If there is a Volunteer Credits Cryptocurrency in place, supported by the United Nations,
then perhaps SMEs will adopt and more important support a local Volunteer eCredits system
like Hull-Coin in the UK and the 30+ businesses in the Central Queensland town of Agnes
Water now accepting cryptocurrency as a form of payment

Hence the importance of an On-line training program to explain to SMEs how Cryptocurrencies and
Blockchain technologies could benefit them

B 18:00-18:15 - REVIEW OVERSEAS CRYPTOCURRENCY RESEARCH

The Meeting reviewed these "Cryptocurrency" articles
