A GOVERNMENT DEFENCE CONTRACTS This involved an Expression of Interest published in Jul 2003 for Garrison Support Services by 600 Australian SMEs for 22 Services for 10 Defence regions These concerns were stimulated by the arrest of Mossad agents in New Zealand on Thu 15 Jul 2004. B CONCERNS FOR AUSTRALIAN SMES INVOLVED WITH CONTRACTS These concerns were originally outlined on Tue 08 Jun 2004 at the Senate Inquiry Public Hearing into the Aus-USA-FTA These concerns have been verified by an e-mail discovered on Fri 23 Jul 2004 which confirmed the issues explained to the Senate Inquiry on Tue 08 Jun 2004. NEXT STEPS There many be several other Defence Contracts that need to be examined as well as the additional costs have not been included in any of the FTA reports The Government Senators will fail in their duty to Australian SMEs and electors if the Aus-USA-FTA is not placed on hold for 3 months while the costs to Australian Security and Australian business of the FTA are examined.
