Dear Professor

IS PEDAL POWER JOINT VENTURE OF INTEREST ?

Thank you for your speedy response on Mon 07 May 2018 asking how you can help
with the UNHCR/EWB Zambia project

There are a number of ways that your School may be able to assist with the project
however initially there is a key project that may be of interest to you

This project is a Proof of Concept joint-venture project for generating energy
through bicycle pedal power

Following an initial review of the UNHCR/EWB Zambia project it appears that a
reliable power source is a key resource issue for pumping water, powering home
lighting and mobile phones for each house for the resettlement areas

We have proposed a Pedal Power project which provides Pedal Power Volunteers
with eCredits for producing electricity

The Proof of Concept design we would ask you to consider is to:

1	Prototype a single, double and quad-linked bikes to generate electricity
similar to the pedal power exhibit in the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney

This Pedal-Power concept has been proven in 2009 by Israeli Students for
powering a pop-concert and other areas since eg Pedal Powered Stage

2	Design a swipe card system (possibly using an Opal Card or, Health card)
to identify the Pedal Power Volunteer [PPV] Cyclist

The PPV Cyclist output information will be maintained on a Web-site as
well as on the swipe card so that a rider can move from site-to-site similar
to the Hull-Coin Volunteer Cryptocurrency project by Hull Council UK

3	Provide statistics on the output that can be generated by each prototype
with 15 min and 30 min cycling

Ian ROSS from Pedal Power ACT may be able to provide the bikes and ideas on the
	swipe cards

We have developed the software to provide the PPV Cyclist Output records on the
Internet

Would your School be interested in being involved with this Pedal Power joint-venture
project ?

Yours sincerely
