This is an application form for membership of a consortium of organisations to assist Medium and Small Enterprises to ensure that their electronic information systems are Year 2000 Compliant.
Fees for MembershipThe Membership fees are $0.10 per member per month or 12 months paid in advance for $1.00 per member. Membership is a minimum of 12 months.
In the event of one organisation being an umbrella for members with multiple organisations, the OIC reserves the right to vary subscription fees from those quoted above. This will be done to ensure an equitable fee basis in the spirit for raising awareness of the importance of the Year 2000 Compliance. Back to Index 1800 Contact for Telephone and FaxThe 1800 will be available for organisations to publish regularly in their newsletters There will be 3 people to man the 1800 number. This call centre will take the details of each caller to send a questionnaire. Those details will include the Association and Membership Number.
Your organisation will receive a monthly print out of members who register for Y2K assistance. There will be a charge of $ 4.50 for each member of your organisations that calls the 1800 number. Each caller will receive a questionnaire for completion by return 1800 fax number or by e-mail if they have an e-mail address. There will be a charge to your organisation of $4.50 for each fax sent and received or $2.50 for each e-mail sent and received. Your organisation will receive a copy of the fax response sheet. The OIC will collate and analysis the responses for your organisation. This information can be posted to your Web page if you would like to make the information available for your members. Back to IndexY2K Compliance ManualThis includes a Year 2000 Compliance Manual that your members may wish to purchase from your organisation. This manual will enable your member to show Directors, Customers, Suppliers and Shareholders that their company has carried out due diligence to ensure that the company is Y2K Compliant. The OIC has developed a series of 3 standard letters to send to each supplier of hardware and software to confirm Y2K compliance. These letters are sent to the suppliers identified in the hardware and software Y2K inventory questionnaire There is a schedule of dates for each letter to confirm the status of Y2K compliance for that product. Assistance on Y2K Conformance The first level of assistance for Y2K conformance is to determine whether the hardware and software your members use is Y2K compliant.
This register can be made available on the Association Web page. The OIC has members who can provide to assistance to Association, Society, Institute and Foundation members at special affiliation rates particularly if there are several members within that organisation that are using the same software packages. A key issue is to identify your organisation members who may be using software that was supplied by a company that is no longer in business or does not have the resources to ensure that the software is Y2K compliant. Your organisation may want to negotiate on behalf of your members with the OIC member for a Y2K services fee.
There are OIC members available to assist you to develop your Website to provide the information on the Y2K compliance status of software used within your industry. The fee will be negotiable between your organisation and the OIC member. Members involved with Electronic CommerceY2K Compliance for members involved with Electronic Commerce is a very important issue. If your members are involved with Electronic Commerce or considering using it over the next 12 months it is important to ensure that all participants in the Electronic Supply Chain Management Cycle are Y2K Compliant. The OIC has a number of members and contacts available to assist your members who use or wish to use Electronic Commerce to be Y2K Complaint.
