So, given the US Propensity to make every web-page into a Marketing opportunity, how will the Shorelink Councils prevent the SaaS provider from selling page sponsorship for every Shorelink Library page ? B 2000 NSW 9 COUNCIL SYNDICATE REQUIRE VOLUNTEER MGT In Sep 2000 an Expression of Interest [EOI] from a NSW Syndicate of 9 Councils (Blacktown, Lake Macquarie, Hornsby, Parramatta, Wyong, Randwick, Ku-ring-gai, Rockdale and Hurstville) stipulated a wide rage of requirements including: a Standard Name & Address format for 1 Supplier(s) 2 Employees 3 Ratepayers 4 Property owners 5 Developers 6 Councillors b A Volunteer Management System c E-business, Office Automation & Communications Why is it 9 years later, North Sydney Council has not included similar requirements in its 2020 Vision Strategy ? C FEED-BACK SUBMISSION 2020 VISION MTG 03 APR 2009 Following the North Sydney Council 2020 Vision meeting Fri 06 Mar 2009, please find attached the feed-back submission from the Sustainability Action Network [SAN]. This submission has been prepared quickly to enable it to be copied to the other attendees at least 2 weeks before the next meeting scheduled for Fri 03 Apr 2009. We have reviewed the documents provide by Council and the proposal that the Stanton Library becomes the "Information Hub of a Virtual Town Hall". We concur with this Vision but only if the Information Technology and skills are retained locally and not outsourced to an overseas company as stated in the last minutes of the Shorelink Library Network.
