	QUESTIONS FOR COUNCILLORS TO ANSWER

Dear Madam Mayor and Councillors

The Questions on 2008/2009 Council Budget submitted by email, fax 
and post to Councillors on 24 Jun are for the Councillors to ask 
so that Mosman Rate-payers know what is happening with the new
Council Activity Budget.

On Wed 25 Jul Cr Dom LOPEZ and Cr Simon MENZIES were asked how the 
Council's "Entrepreneurial" Activity could generate $3,264,540.

Neither could provide an explanation of what constitutes the Council's
"Entrepreneurial" Activity nor how $3,264,540 is generated.
 
On Tue 01 Jul 2008 the General Manager informed me that the Mayor
will not allow me or any parents associated with the Kids Safe-at-Sport 
Mosman [KSAS-2088] to ask Questions at Council meetings, even though 
the Mayor sent a letter on 21 Dec 2007 stating she would only accept 
written questions. 

We have already lodged one complaint [Att A] with the NSW Ombudsman 
about how Mosman Council has breached the NSW Local Government Act 
1993 in regard to evaluating the Kids Safe-at-Sport Parents' 
Initiative.

If Rate-payers questions are not answered by the Councillors then 
the Mosman Rate-payers may refer the issue to the New Code of Conduct 
Committee as notified by the Mosman Daily on Thu 03 Jul 2008 [Att B].

Please respond to the questions asked about the 2008/2009 new 
Activity Budget in writing by 17:00 Fri 11 July 2008
