B	Questions for Council Meeting Tue 19 Feb 2008
C	Next Steps

A	BACKGROUND

The Council Minutes have stated that:

(Council Agenda 2008/02/05 02.02.01 Investment Policy)

b	Council receives on average $ 3,799,832 interest/annum

d	Council review all Council Practices and Procedures Policies (2.3.g)
(Council Agenda Attachments 2008/02/05 01.02.03 MOSPLAN Quarterly Review)

B	QUESTIONS

1	As the Council receives in excess of $ 3,500,000 in interest per
annum why has the Council not commissioned the appropriate
research into new Agenda items such as the SHOROC eTender System
and the NSW Greenhouse Gas Scheme ?

2	Council holds over $ 55,000,000 investment assets and receives in
excess of $ 3,500,000 in interest per annum.

Why has the Council not considered the Kids Safe-at-Sport CDSE
application for $ 25,000 as an appropriate investment to ensure that
Mosman Junior Sports Clubs can comply with the NSW Child Protection
	legislation ?

3	How can the Council assure Mosman Ratepayers and Parents that the
Mosman Councillors have/will have the experience and expertise to
understand the Agendas and Reports provided by the new SHOROC
Kimbriki Waste Management Company and the new SHOROC Association ?

Mosman Councillors have not yet received a workshop on the Roles
and Function of Councillors after 3 years as Councillors.
(Council Agenda 2008/02/05 02.02.01 Investment Policy)

One (1) Administrator, three (3) General Managers and Thirty Six
	(36) Councillors have not been able to comply with the NSW
Association Act 1984 after 15 months as an Association.
(SHOROC Board Minutes 12 Dec 2007)

C	NEXT STEPS

We look forward to:

1 Council's response on Tue 19 Feb 2008 and
