Dear Madam Mayor and Councillors 

The 3 Questions on 2008/2009 Council Budget have now been linked 
to the actual Activity Statements 

Early today Deborah CAMERON interviewed Ken KANOFSKI CEO 
WSN Environmental Solutions about the $50 M Macarthur Ecolibrium 
Waste Management Plant 

Is this how Mosman Council will be receiving $ 4,131,321 income from 
Domestic Waste Management  ?

"When Waste Service NSW was established in 1971 it was a government 
agency  that managed landfills for the disposal of waste," WSN 
Environmental Solutions chief executive officer Ken Kanofski explained.  

"Today it is a keenly competitive business offering customers a range of  
services that cover the complete journey of waste from kerbside collection 
to recycling, resource recovery, treatment and disposal. 

"We have been at the forefront of innovation in the industry, having  
pioneered the generation of green electricity from waste, and now 
provide enough electricity to power up to 30,000 homes a year. 

Last year we opened Sydney's first alternative waste technology facility 
for household waste at Eastern Creek in partnership with Global 
Renewables,"  he said. 

Madam Mayor there are some very worrying trends emerging in this  
outsourcing era particularly with the Electricity Privatisation 
proposed by the NSW Labour Government. 

Following the revelation that an ex NSW Premier received $16,000,000 
in Dec 2007 for shares in an Indian Coal Company you may want to  
review some of the papers released about Ministers trading in 
Marconi Shares in 1913
