Dear Madam Mayor and Councillors

We rely on s706 NSW Local Government Act 1993 

As directed in your letter 21 Dec 2007 the Management Committee of the 
Kids Safe-at-Sport Mosman [KSAS-2088] have provided Council with THREE (3)
questions for Council Meeting Tue 01 Apr 2008:

A	ARU Child Protection Policy
B	Pedal-power light generation - Tel Aviv
C	Standard Address format for Mosman Web PDF Forms
D	Next Steps

A	ARU CHILD PROTECTION POLICY

On 29 Feb 2008 the Australian Rugby Union [ARU] published a national Child 
Protection [CP] policy {A} which supports the CP concerns identified by
the Parents involved with KSAS-2088.

As we pointed out on 19 Feb 2008 that the advice provided on 04 Feb 2008 by 
Pike, Pike and Fenwick {B} was not up to date, will Mosman Council seek 
alternate Legal Advice on the Child Protection issue ?

B	PEDAL POWER LIGHT GENERATION

Last year Cr Simon MENZIES proposed outdoor equipment to "improve health
in the Mosman Community".

KSAS-2088 supported that Motion and proposed a research project to link 
bicycles and other equipment to generators to produce local electricity

At the recent Global Earth Hour event, students in Tel Aviv powered a rock 
concert by Student Pedal Power {C}.

As Mosman Council is the first NSW Metropolitan Council to sign up the 
ACF Climate Change Challenge {D}, will Mosman Council re-consider the 
KSAS-2088 proposal for a research project to evaluate if local pedal power 
can reduce school and local government electricity bills ?

C	STANDARD ADDRESS FORMAT MOSMAN PDF FORMS

At the meeting with the General Manager Wed 12 Mar 2008 it was pointed out 
that the 66 Mosman Council web PDF forms have at least 5 different address 
formats within the different Mosman Council forms available on its web-site.

Will Mosman Council standardise on an address format which will comply with 
the Complex Address version of the Australian Standard to enable On-line 
Forms {Australian Standard 4590} as well as PDF files?

	Sun 30 Mar 2008 and 

2 	the KSAS-2088 questions and Council's response to be included in
