	QUESTION IN COUNCIL RE EMISSIONS TRADING SCHEME 

My name is Peter AXTENS.  I am a Lawyer who has lived in Mosman much
of my life.  
 
I am the Voluntary Legal Compliance Officer for the "Kids Safe-at-Sport 
Network [KSAS-Au]".

I have been following the NSW Greenhouse Gas Reduction Scheme [GGAS (sic)]
since it was released as a Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Trading (including 
Carbon-Offsets) Scheme from 01 Jan 2003.

I have reviewed a substantial amount of material including

1	the GGAS Web-site and affiliated web-sites			{A}
        
 
2	the  "Clean Energy for Eternity" information material		{B}
	distributed on the Thu 25 Oct 2007 and
 
3	numerous newspaper articles including the "Carbon      		{C}
	Planet" Carbon Footprint analysis of the RFL Grand 
	Final in the Daily Telegraph on 01 Oct 2007

	The article states that event produced 2,081 Tonnes 
	of Carbon that requires Carbon-Offsets
 
Whilst I am fully supportive of the CEFE-Mosman initiative "50/50 
by 2020", I am currently of the opinion that there is a gross 
Fraudulent Misrepresentation taking place on Australian Citizens 
to further the interests of International Business and not the 
Mosman Community.

calculate how many carbon offsets to purchase

Here is the link on that web-site that confirms that "Climate Friendly"
purchases "Gold Standard Credits" with your money in Switzerland 
 
These Gold Standard Credits can only by traded in London because 
only London has the only Emission Trading Scheme
 
The "Gold Standard" is based in Basle Switzerland
 
Switzerland is the only European Country that is not a member
of the European Economic Community [EEC] and still has Swiss
Francs not Euros

The Banks have to make their Currency Exchange Margins don't 
they - Aus Dollar to Swiss Francs to Euro and back again !!

My question to the Council is:

Does this Council and Councillors want to be recorded in History 
as a Council that propelled its Citizens and Youth into the "Abyss 
of Perpetual Debt" 

Or does this Council want to be recorded for Eternity as the men 
and women who first threw off "The Yoke of Economic Servitude to
the International Bankers" ?
