a	The OPEN INTERCHANGE CONSORTIUM [OIC] was established in 1994 to assist management in 
	large, medium and small enterprises understand the issues involved with convergence in 
	electronic information technology [EIT] disciplines like distance learning, the Internet
	and Electronic Commerce.

b	Initially this was through a series of regular forums including quarterly lunch lectures 
	and monthly education seminars. 

c	Since 1999 the information and experience sharing has been more practical with projects
	and special interest groups

d	Many of the OIC members like Sun Microsystems, Software AG, Turn-Key Systems and Halisa International
	are at the very forefront of new technologies and are prepared to encourage, sponsor and 
	support EIT initiatives as part of the sharing process.

e	Many of these initiatives have risk as well as substantial potential rewards. However 
	although OIC members are prepared to share their knowledge, experiences and the rewards
	as part of an altruistic contribution to furthering the exploration, development and 
	implementation of EIT creativity, this Disclaimer is to limit the financial risk to 
	those members prepared to share their knowledge and experience.
